I think this project is great and I wish you all the best with it. I will add some info on some of the other soldiers as I get a chance, but thought I'd start here.

Some more info on Colin that may be of use:

- Is memorialised on two memorials in his home town, both the town honour board and the town memorial.
- His 23 year old brother Kenneth enlisted on the same day and was also in the 30th BN, so the two brothers would have fought side by side at Fromelles, which is probably why his family did not launch an official inquest into his death as his brother most likely informed them of what had happened.
- I would question whether he was in North Africa, it was more likely Egypt and the Suez Canal. I have a lot of photos of 30th battalion men in this area, suffering from the dust as well as skylarking about (including one nice photo of them throwing another bloke into the air) which may be of use.
-The war memorial holds a photo of him.

- The 30th battalion colours are laid up (which means retired to) the church in Macquarie St across the RD from the state parliament, as it is close to the school it may be worth filming them.

Great info thanks Damien. We have a connection here with Alex Clancy one of the boys in the group a relative of Colin. In fact his uncle and aunt are going across to the Ceremony. He told us an interesting story today about how Kenneth found him minus an arm before he had to retreat before the advancing Germans. I think Alex is going to upload his final draft video over the weekend so keep an eye on the Video section. Will try and get down to the church next week. A bit manic here as we have our big concert at the Town Hall tomorrow night and then finalising reports and PT interviews next week!!

Thanks

Mick
