Mal, thank you so much. I think your Great Grandfather was such a strong good looking man, I am so glad I can now put a face to the man who was in the Trenches with Herbert and was able to describe his last moments in such detail, I think they would have been good mates. How lovely to hear from you, and how wonderful it was to read your Great Grandfather's comments as to how my Grandfather died. I do have a photo of Herbert with 5 other soldiers, sadly there were no names attached to it, so would love to see your photo and see which one was Frank Johnston. I have thought of putting this photo out there in the hope some others may recognise these Soldiers.
