Hi Josephine, funny you posting this comment. We just had Lambis up for a workshop with our boys and he was talking about the statue over a beer on Sunday night. Hope you are well. The project is about to kick off again so hopefully we can create some great work again in this centenary year. Take care. Michael
With my son Steve, who had made this beautiful full size bronze statue of my Grandfather, his Great Grandfather, Herbert Thomas "Nutsy" Bolt.
Yes Michael, it is "Nutsy" and a very good likeness to him too!
This is a most amazing bronze life size statue my son Steve had made of my Grandfather, Herbert "Nutsy" Bolt. Steve loves everything about his Great Grandfather, says he is our Hero & such a tragedy he was killed so young, leaving behind his young wife and baby daughter. He had it made for Anzac Day and he stands in a beautiful sandstone walled room overlooking the water. It is a very wonderful likeness to him, and was a most emotional moment when he unveiled the statue after the Dawn Service. It is truly magnificent and all our family love visiting him. As a friend, who is a Major in the Army said, he was honoured to have his photo taken with him and the statue is worthy of standing in the War Memorial at Canberra.
Great photo Josephine. Nutsy?
